Tosa Cigars is the passion-project of Mike Gabrail. Gabrail founded the company in the summer of 2010 out of love of cigars and a deep commitment to the right to smoke. Gabrail, who has spent the past number of years in higher education and politics, saw an opportunity to take a love of his life-cigars- and his dream of owning and running his own business in Tosa Cigars.

With the help of Torano Family Cigar Company, Gabrail spent the better part of 2010 and 2011 blending an affordable cigar that smokes, tastes like nothing else on the market.

Born to parents who emigrated from Iraq to the United States in 1984 to provide a war-free and tyrant-free upbringing for their children, Gabrail, the youngest of three, was always taught to do what he loves, work hard at it, and never take freedom for granted. With the War on Tobacco pushing new smoking bans and higher cigar taxes every week, Gabrail feels that it is his duty to provide affordable cigars and spend time lobbying for the rights of cigar smokers. Witnessing his parents’ willingness to sacrifice their comfort to come to a new country to provide for him has instilled in Gabrail a determination to stand on the front lines of cigar rights.

Now, while working at a law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, being an Ambassador for the Cigars Rights of America, sitting on two charity organization boards, and fighting for cigar rights in DC and Columbus, Ohio, Gabrail has been able to provide great cigars at prices that are almost unthinkable with today’s tobacco taxes.

So every time you light up a Tosa cigar, not only are you enjoying a smoke that you cannot get anywhere else, but you are also supporting a company that is actually fighting for cigar rights.
